I agree with the blogging thing although depending on how its achieved, not sure how good that is for readers. My rss reader is now full of unread items from blogs which now fire off many short, poorly considered posts each day that very quickly became noise to me. That may be the extreme though and I’d definitely like to see more regular posts from many (self included) providing they’re on topic and new thoughts rather than link bait and references to other posts.

Very interesting predictions! Specially about chat rooms!

@DannyT that’s a really good point. My RSS reader is in the same condition. Too many short, uninteresting posts. I guess that’s why Twitter works. There must be a better way to do it than just skimming through hundreds of feeds. There’s good stuff in there that I want to read but finding it is a huge pain. Need better filtering of RSS feeds. Hmm…

    (Entrepreneur hat goes on…)

I was thinking about this too and have decided I want to have a date filter so my reader only shows posts from the past 7 days. This way, when I do start Reading I only spend time on up to date things, anything I miss that I should read I’ll rely on reposts and twitted for.

  5. Interesting prediction!
