I for one and really sick of all the fanfare and hype. The truth is that Flash is about the buggiest program around. It took me hours on the phone with Adobe just to INSTALL Flash CS3, and I'm know I'm not alone.

Yes, it's great that we can finally export quicktimes again since Flash 5 (and we act like it's a boon bestowed upon us from on high when actually it's a BUG that they finally got around to fixing). But has anyone else found that if you are using a lot of filters on movieclips, that even though those movieclips do render out in your quicktime, you are likely to see many extra frames or dropped frames in your quicktime. My current animation project is 28 seconds in the Flash timeline. When I render out a quicktime, I get a ton of extra frames in the scenes where I use a lot of filters- and the quicktime is 36 seconds long. Way to go Adobe!

Mike,

One problem...keep getting an error when trying to publish a swf file. Publish settings are to default. If I do not save the file I can test a movie but, the minute I give it a name it creates an error and states that the file or drive is locked. How can this be resolved? No issues with Flash 8 just the new CS3 version just installed. Good thing I have the older version to do work. Help would be greatly appreciated.

How can Flash be set to maximize stage automatically on start? I don't want to have to set it to do it every time.

Any improvements in text handling in dynamic text fields -- superscripts, subscripts, ordered lists? I recall bitching about this here nearly 2 years ago.

Good News. But why is FlexBuilder not included in one of the collections?

Mike,

What about 3D in flash. I know PaperVision is doing some great things... but what about native support for it? I know you are well aware about how 3D is becoming more and more popular, what is flash doing to make sure it doesn't get passed up?

Thanks!

Hi Mike, I am really excited about the new CS3 release but at the same time VERY disappointed that you guys make us European customers pay almost twice the amount for the same software as US customers have to pay. Do you hate us that much ;-) ..or are there actually good reasons for such a huge price difference? …please share those reasons with us so we might feel less ripped off.

Another thing I was wondering about will Flash CSS3 target the current Flash 9 player or will there be a new Player with new features. For example will there be support for RTL/Bidi text?

Thanks!
