TypePad mobile: client for updating your TypePad blog
While logging into my TypePad account I noticed a link to a new app for updating your TypePad blog. You can download the app to your supported phone over the air by browing to “get.typepad.com” on your device. They’re currently supporting phones running Windows Mobile, Palm, and Symbian OS. Being a (very happy) user of a Nokia e61, which is powered by Symbian Series 60 3rd Edition, I was a bit disappointed to read that the client for my phone is not yet available (marked “coming soon”). But I’m eager to check it out once it’s available.
If you have any tips on software for blogging from your phone, please leave them in the comments.

Mac OS 10.4.8 boosts Flash Professional 8 performance by 10%
John Nack recently commented that Photoshop CS2 runs around 35% faster on Intel-based Macs (or “MacTels” as we like to call them) running the recent 10.4.8 update from Apple. Apparently Apple made some optimizations to the Rosetta emulation layer that make non-Intel native apps run faster/better.
Out of curiosity, I asked on of our Quality Engineers if he could do some testing to see if there were any improvements to Flash Professional 8 running on a MacTel machine.
He found that startup time remained mostly the same but publishing time was sped up by 10% when comparing 10.4.7 to 10.4.8.
So there ya have it. Flash 8 is 10% faster on MacTel machines now. Just imagine how much faster it will be when we release the Universal Binary version in our next release!
