Flashmagazine.com reporter, David Vogeleer, has just posted an audio podcast of his interview with me while at the FlashForward conference in Austin, TX. In the interview David and I discuss the state of Flash in post-merger Adobe, the impact that Macromedia has had on Adobe’s community relations programs, as well as some recent announcements in the Flash world.

ASDoc now up on Adobe Labs

I don’t know how I missed this, but on August 15 we posted our command-line utility for creating ActionScript documentation to Adobe Labs. I’ve had many, many people ask me for this over the years and I’ve made many, many requests to make it available to our customers. I guess it took the muscle of the Flex team to actually get it out there. ;-)

Get it here.

Video podcast at zoom-in.com: 10 Years of Flash

Zoomin Podcast

The good folks from magnet media have posted an interesting video podcast at zoom in online, an internet video channel that provides essential info on media and entertainment. The podcast features their coverage of our 10-year anniversary party, held at Adobe’s San Francisco offices in early August. It features commentary from yours truly, Grant Skinner, Beau Ambur, Robert Reinhardt, Michael Lebowitz of Big Spaceship, and Isaac Golino of Schematic.

As one of the most dynamic applications for creative content, Macromedia’s Flash has been at the forefront of digital content creation for a decade. Zoom In Online went to the Flash 10-year anniversary party and spoke with the top designers, developers, and product managers to get an inside look at this revolutionary application. The Flash community continues to grow, and we find out why it is the application of choice for rich media content creation.

Something special at FlashForward Austin next week…

I’m not going to give you any details but if you’re planning on attending the FlashForward conference in Austin, Texas next week, make sure you attend the keynote with Adobe’s Kevin Lynch and a few others (including myself and Justin Everett-Church at the very end…).

I hope to see you there!
