I too are having a problem updating security flash player from Microsoft Update. Every time I go to update it, after I am being prompted to do so, I get a message that it failed to update. The yellow shield with an exclamation mark in it keeps appearing in my task bar at the bottom of my screen. Is there a fix for this?
Thanks

Hi:
If you could help me with some problem I have:
I build sites not for the web but in cd-rom, using flash, and when I upgaded my flash viewer to the version 9 the targets stop working. Instead of opening the page on the frame I set the name of, it opens a new window, all the flash animations now look slow and the sound de-syncs, this of course ruins my work in cd-rom, and ruins all the cd-rom's I've made and deliver to my clients, becouse they will stop working when my clients upgrade their PC's. This problem fixes when I use flash viewer 5,6,7,8 so i had to uninstall flash viewer 9 in order to continue working.
When I publish the same site on the web it works correctly but, what I need is working in cd-roms. I urgently need you to tell me whats going on in order to continue my work. I use Flash 5, Windows 98SE, and Internet Explorer 5.00.2614.3500

[In future releases of Flash we actually intend to adopt the Adobe Update Manager]

This is great to know!! I would just think some people new to Flash would benefit from more specific link titles, e.g., at the top of this page http://www.macromedia.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
the box says "Get the latest version
Download the most recent version of Macromedia Flash Player."

I think it should maybe add "for your web player...see below to update your Flash IDE test player or standalone". I was abnormally busy the last two weeks and should have read the entire page more carefully. My bad. Thanks very much!
