X86-64 for everybody. Different toolkit to make it run in Windows, MacOSX, and KDE. The market share of both OSX and Linux on the desktop is around the same. I went from 512 MB on my 1.5 ghz pb to 1.25 gb of RAM and it really makes it much more bearable. particularly switching apps. get more ram. it really helps.
