Wow! Our booth at NAB has been CRAZY all day. It’s clear that we’re reaching video professionals with our Flash Video story. People have been stacked up trying to catch a glimpse of our regular theater presentations.

Macromedia at NAB show this week

April 17th, 2005

Last year was such a success that, this year, we’ve decided to expand. We have a bigger booth and a bigger presence at one of the “world’s largest electronic media show”. If you’re in Las Vegas this week, swing by NAB 2005 and visit us at our booth.

Flash video is such a huge topic right now. Company after company is switching to use Flash to deliver better video experiences. To help everyone understand what Flash can do with video, we’ve set up a landing page on our web site: http://www.macromedia.com/go/flashvideo.

If you’re at NAB this week be sure to stop by and say “hi”.

Apple Final Cut Studio Announcement – features Flash content!

Woo-hoo! Apple is using Flash content in a major section of their website – the homepage for the fantastic new Final Cut Studio.

About Final Cut Studio:

You know the benefits of keeping all your production under one roof. Why not keep all your production tools in one box? Final Cut Studio combines the industry-standard Final Cut Pro 5 — including powerful SD, DV and HD editing capability — with the real-time design engine of Motion 2 for stunning motion graphics, the flexible audio creation and control tools of Soundtrack Pro and the sophisticated SD and HD DVD authoring features of DVD Studio Pro 4.

I’ve been waiting a long time to see some Flash on Apple’s website. Subtle, but effective.

Nice work, Apple web team!

By the way, I’ve been using the Apple video production suite for about three weeks now and I’m totally hooked. Final Cut Pro HD and Motion are really nice tools. I can’t wait to play with Motion 2 while at NAB. Recently I’ve had more and more reasons to make my 17″ Powerbook G4 my primary machine. The biggest reason was our IT department’s recent upgrade to MS Exchange 2003, enabling us Mac users to access our Exchange-based calendars and other functionalities.
