I found Flash content on Apple’s website

I’ve always found it kind of interesting that Apple seems to have no Flash content on their website. Even Microsoft doesn’t use Windows Media for everything. Of course we don’t really use anything other than Flash, HTML, and CSS on our own site (as far as I can tell). We did use Quicktime for a lot of our learning content before we added video support to Flash Player, though.
In any case… While having a discussion about this at lunch today, one of our developers mentioned that Apple uses Flash for their .Mac learning center.
Cool!
… Coincidentally, I decided to sign up for a .Mac account today. ![]()
UPDATE: here’s some even better Flash content on apple.com - http://www.apple.com/education/hed/students/ (thanks Robertson!)

They don’t use Flash much, but I think they use Flash-in-Quicktime fairly often.

Wow - to be honest the up-front Flash is almost useless, and whats behind it (the tutorials) should have been interactive Flash at least.
I’ll bet they needed something up quick and used Flash for this. They almost always use QT in very cool ways.

Yeah, it does seem to be under-utilizing Flash in this case. You’re probably right in that they needed to put something up quickly. This seems like something they could have used DHTML for…
