MXDU 2005

I will be making my way down to Sydney again in just a few weeks to participate in MXDU 2005. I’ve been looking forward to going to MXDU since Mike Chambers first started going on and on about how great it was last year.

This year Mike C and I will be doing the day 2 keynote together, tentatively titled, “Flash the future.” (note - I hope conference organizer Geoff Bowers of Fullasagoog fame doesn’t expect any actual *flashing* in the keynote. I’ve heard of stranger things occuring at these Aussie conferences…)

Mike’s on sabbatical right now (which is why none of you have heard from him for a while) so we haven’t had a chance to discuss exactly what we’ll talk about in the keynote, however, I can guarantee that it will involve Flash video, Flash on mobile devices, and some more sneaks of future Flash technologies.

Hey, is Mike bringing his XBox? If so, that’d be a lot easier than me trying to convince her majesty to bring mine.

I’m sure one of us will. It wouldn’t be a party without a Halo 2 tournament…

I think we’ll just ship the Flash team’s XBox (yes, the team has an XBox!) so it’s there when we arrive.

I think I’d better get practising then. Currently, I am so bad, I got beaten by Guy Watson!

Flash Back: MAX Taipei Day One

Ongoing ramblings on last year’s junket to Taipei. It’s all in the present ala The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. More photos due to popular demand. Cameos from Chafic, MikeD, Gary Grossman, the Tarbels and Mark Blair.

Bring all the hardware you like Mike - its still not going to improve your game (even if you have a “home” box advantage :)
Peter and Guy - you two need all the practice you can get lads. So i’d be putting the hard yards between now and MXDU ;)
Me thinks that mesh will be “skooling” us all.
